Dales001
Yorkshire Dales
Regarded as one of the most scenic areas in England, the Yorkshire Dales National Park has a charm all of it's own. This remarkable landscape straddles the Pennines, the backbone of England, and throughout its 840 square miles offers an extradionary breadth of distinctive scenery. From remote limestone pavements on windswept moorland, to dramatic waterfalls and down to idyllic villages surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside, the Dales is a wonderful location for landscape photographers seeking to indulge themselves.
Throughout this tour we aim to capture a little bit of all these subjects that makes the Dales such a special location. Our tour begins around midday on the first day, where after an initial short briefing we will head out for the rest of the day. Each day thereafter we will aim to be shooting from sunrise through to sunset, returning to the hotel after sunrise for breakfast and some time to relax before heading out for the rest of the day, again returning to our accommodation after sunset.
With a maximum group number of only four participants, our chosen locations will be uncrowded ensuring everybody has access to shoot that special viewpoint. Adam will encourage you to fully explore each location to find your own viewpoints and compositions, while helping you capture beautiful landscape photographs.
Our tours are aimed at everybody, from beginners looking for advice and encouragement through to experienced photographers wishing only to be guided to locations. With such a small group, you can be assured of Adam’s attention, support and feedback throughout each location we visit.
Please note: This tour requires a moderate level of fitness. Although most locations can be acccessed via short walks, one or two locations require walks of up to 30 minutes.
Accommodation
For this Discovery Tour we will be based in the Old Hall Inn in the Dales village of Threshfield. Each guest will enjoy single occupancy of an individually decorated modern bedroom, complete with en suite facilities. For more information on the hotel please visit their website.
