Lake District Discovery Tour - 12-14th September 2018
Join us for a three day tour of the beautiful Lake District National Park. During this tour, Adam will utilise his extensive knowledge of the Lakes to guide you to all his favourite locations.
September can be a wonderful month for landscape photography. The Lake District will be much quieter after the end of the school holidays, and the weather is often calm and consistent, offering great conditions for photography. With the mornings growing colder, we can hope to capture dawn mists floating above the many beautiful lakes, while the green mountains of summer are replaced with more photogenic gorgeous brown tones.
Like all of our Discovery Tours, our complete focus will be on photography. Our tour begins at midday on the first day where, after an initial short briefing we will head out to a variety of locations for the rest of the day. For the next two days we will aim to be shooting from sunrise through to sunset, returning to the hotel for breakfast and to freshen up before heading out again late morning for the remainder of the day. As sunset is still relatively late at this time of year, we may stop off late afternoon for our main meal in a pub before heading to shoot our evening location.
With a maximum group number of only four participants, our chosen locations will be uncrowded ensuring everybody has access to shoot that special viewpoint. Adam will encourage you to fully explore each location to find your own viewpoints and compositions, while helping you capture beautiful landscape photographs.
Our tours are aimed at everybody, from beginners looking for advice and encouragement through to experienced photographers wishing only to be guided to locations. With such a small group, you can be assured of Adam’s attention, support and feedback throughout each location we visit.
During this workshop we will be staying at the beautiful TripAdvisor 4 star rated Lodge in the Vale. Built in 2010 this modern building offers high quality accommodation in a fabulous rural location, and being located midway between Keswick and Ambleside, is perfect for exploring the photographic highlights of the Lakes. Each of the light, contemporary double rooms has wooden floors, king size beds, free Wi-Fi, 32-inch flat-screen TV's and of course en-suite facilities. For more information on the hotel, please visit their website.
