Join us on our latest Discovery Tour as we venture into the charming Cotswolds in the south west of England.  Renowned for its idyllic villages with picturesque honey coloured stone cottages, as well as gorgeous rolling farmland, the Cotswolds is a treat for any photographer.  On this tour we will guide you to, and help you photograph some of the Cotswolds most beautiful villages as well as its lovely countryside.

In order to make the most of the golden hours this two day tour is designed to run over three days.  We meet at 16:30, allowing you plenty of time to check in and relax before we venture out to shoot our first location in the evening light.   The next day will involve an early start to shoot a village scene before the tourists arrive, followed by breakfast and some recovery time at the hotel.  We will head out again around midday and stay out until sunset at around 21:00, stopping for lunch and dinner along the way.  On the final morning, we will have another early morning shoot and then end the workshop after breakfast, providing you with ample time to check out and have a relaxing drive home.

With a maximum group number of only four participants, our chosen locations will be uncrowded ensuring everybody has access to shoot that special viewpoint.  Adam will encourage you to fully explore each location to find your own viewpoints and compositions, while helping you capture beautiful landscape photographs.

Our tours are aimed at everybody, from beginners looking for advice and encouragement through to experienced photographers wishing only to be guided to locations.  With such a small group, you can be assured of Adam’s attention, support and feedback throughout each location we visit.

Accommodation

Our hotel for this Discovery Tour will be the Colesbourne Inn.  Set in the heart of the picturesque Cotswold countryside, the Colesbourne Inn is a delightful old coaching inn dating back to 1827.  Each guest will enjoy single occupancy in a double en suite bedroom with all the comforts expected of a modern hotel.  For more information on the hotel please visit their website.

To enable you to get the most out of the workshop please bring the following camera gear:

  • Digital camera, lenses and memory cards
  • Spare batteries (charged up!)
  • Tripod
  • Filters (a set of Kase filters will be available for you to use throughout the workshop should you require them)

Recommendations

"I had an absolutely awesome day with you and learned loads as well as visiting some simply stunning locations that I am itching to visit again with hopefully some more dramatic sea and sky elements. It was great to spend time with you learning and I hope that I can continue to put it into practice in my photography."

Duncan, 1-2-1 Tuition Day

David, 1-2-1 Tuition Day

"Just a quick email to say many thanks for the drone 1-2-1 it’s given my the confidence boost I really needed."

Catherine, 1-2-1 Drone Tuition Day

"Just a short note to say how much Helen and I enjoyed meeting you on the Aurora Photographic workshop last week. Your presence on the workshop as principal tutor made the trip a complete success. I was particularly impressed with your willingness to help any of the participants, irrespective of their skill level and equally impressive was your patience. It was great to have shared the Icelandic experience with you and I hope that our paths will cross again. "
