Causeway Coast - Northern Ireland
Join Adam on a new Discovery Tour photographing Northern Ireland's incredible Causeway Coast. World famous for it's spectacular scenery, the Causeway Coast is a fabulous location for photography. This short stretch of coastline is brimming full of incredible photographic subjects; from towering cliffs and dramatic rocky bays, through to ruined cliff top castles and natural arches. It really is a seascape photographer's playground. What's more, the jewel in the crown from which this area takes it's name, the Giant's Causeway, is rightly one of the most famous coastal locations in the world.
On our 4 day tour, you will have ample opportunity to photograph the best scenery this coastline has to offer and at the best times of the day. To ensure you have plentiful opportunities to shoot these locations in the best light, this 4 day tour is split over 5 days. We will meet at the hotel in the mid-afternoon, where after checking in we will be able to head straight out to shoot sunset. After this we have three full days of photography, shooting from dawn to dusk, returning to the hotel for breakfast and a rest mid morning. On the final morning, we will shoot sunrise and then finish the workshop after breakfast. This should allow you plenty of time to make your way home via ferry or by air.
With a maximum group number of only four participants, our chosen locations will be uncrowded ensuring everybody has access to shoot that special viewpoint. Adam will encourage you to fully explore each location to find your own viewpoints and compositions, while helping you capture beautiful landscape photographs.
Our tours are aimed at everybody, from beginners looking for advice and encouragement through to experienced photographers wishing only to be guided to locations. With such a small group, you can be assured of Adam’s attention, support and feedback throughout each location we visit.
Please note: This tour has been classified for a moderate level of fitness. Although most locations can be acccessed via short walks, some locations require walks of up to 30 minutes, with some walking over rocky shores and ledges required.
Accommodation
Our base for this trip will be the Hedges Hotel. Set in beautiful grounds on the outskirts of Armoy, the family owned Hedges Hotel provides a perfect base for exploring the Causeway Coast. It is located right next to the world famous Dark Hedges beech tree avenue, which we will be sure to visit on at least one occasion during the tour.
Guests will enjoy single occupancy of a comfortable en suite bedroom. For more information please check out the hotel website.
