Join Adam shooting the stunning coastline at the far western tip of Cornwall.  This rugged landscape, bursting with photographic potential, offers some of the UK’s most dramatic and beautiful coastline.  We plan to visit many of Cornwall’s best known photographic locations such as St Michaels Mount, Porth Nanven and Land’s End, as well as a few off-the-grid locations along the way.  With such a small group, we can be flexible and reactive to unpredictable weather, changing plans if necessary throughout each day.

Our tour begins at midday on the first day, where after an initial short briefing we will head out to a variety of locations for the rest of the day.  For the next three days we will aim to be shooting from sunrise through to sunset, returning to the hotel briefly after sunrise for breakfast before heading out for the rest of the day, returning to our accommodation after sunset.  On the final day the workshop will end after a sunrise shoot, followed by breakfast.

With a maximum group number of only four participants, our chosen locations will be uncrowded ensuring everybody has access to shoot that special viewpoint.  Adam will encourage you to fully explore each location to find your own viewpoints and compositions, while helping you capture beautiful landscape photographs.

Our tours are aimed at everybody, from beginners looking for advice and encouragement through to experienced photographers wishing only to be guided to locations.  With such a small group, you can be assured of Adam’s attention, support and feedback throughout each location we visit.

Please note: This tour requires a moderate level of fitness.  Although most locations can be accessed via short walks, some locations require walks of up to 30 minutes.

Accommodation

Our base for this workshop will be the Land's End Hotel.  Located on the clifftops at England's most westerly mainland point, with spectacular coastal scenery within easy walking distance, the Land's End Hotel is the perfect location to base a photography workshop in this area.  Each guest will enjoy single occupancy of a comfortable double, en suite bedroom.  For more information please check out the hotel website.

What to Bring

To enable you to get the most out of the workshop please bring the following camera gear:

  • Camera, lenses and memory cards
  • Spare batteries
  • Tripod
  • Filters (a set of Kase filters will be available for you to use throughout the workshop should you require them)

Recommendations

"We would like to express our gratitude to you (and through you to Neil) for the recent workshop in New Zealand. The whole experience has been absolutely wonderful and will be a memory for life. We thought the organisation with the hotels, locations and pre-workshop communications were very good. It is a credit to yourself and Neil that the overall response of everyone on the workshop was how excellent it had been. "

Mike, New Zealand Discovery Tour (2025)

"In June 2022 I did a 1-2-1 tuition day with Adam on Dartmoor, a fabulous part of Devon. I had a fantastic day with Adam visiting a number of locations to get the best from such a lovely area. His professionalism, skill and location knowledge is excellent and will ensure you always get the best from the day. His knowledge of photography is fantastic and on top of that he really is a fabulous guy to spend a wonderful day with. I would highly recommend Adam either for a workshop or a 1-2-1 tuition day; he will ensure you get the best experience from the day and you will feel after looking at the images you have captured something to be proud of."

Phil, 1-2-1 Tuition Day

"Thank you so much for yet another brilliant workshop. Not only was it photographically very worthwhile, with excellent and carefully chosen locations, but it was also great fun. As ever you were extremely helpful, and for that I am especially grateful. I don't think you realise just how good you are as a photographic tutor. You have a great natural talent."

Eric, Northumberland Discovery Tour (2025)

"Just a short note to say how much Helen and I enjoyed meeting you on the Aurora Photographic workshop last week. Your presence on the workshop as principal tutor made the trip a complete success. I was particularly impressed with your willingness to help any of the participants, irrespective of their skill level and equally impressive was your patience. It was great to have shared the Icelandic experience with you and I hope that our paths will cross again. "
