West Cornwall Discovery Tour - May 2018

Fully Booked

Join Adam on our very first Discovery Tour of West Cornwall.  Our new Discovery Tours specialise in guiding small groups of photographers to the UK’s most beautiful landscape locations at the very best times.

With a maximum group number of just 3, our chosen locations will be uncrowded ensuring everybody has access to shoot that special viewpoint.  But these tours are so much more than shooting a pre chosen vista.  Adam will encourage you to fully explore each location to find your own viewpoints and compositions, while helping you capture beautiful landscape photographs.

Our tours are aimed at everybody, from beginners looking for advice and encouragement through to experienced photographers wishing only to be guided to locations.  With such a small group, you can be assured of Adam’s attention, support and feedback throughout each location we visit.

For this very first tour, we will be visiting the spectacular far western tip of Cornwall in late May when the cliffs will be carpeted with beautiful spring wildflowers.  This rugged landscape, bursting with photographic potential, offers some of the UK’s most dramatic and beautiful coastline.  We will be visiting Cornwall’s best known locations including St Michaels Mount, Porth Nanven and Land’s End, but in addition we will wander to lesser known but equally photogenic areas.  With such a small group, we can be flexible and reactive to unpredictable weather, changing plans as necessary throughout each day.

Each day’s itinerary will be designed to maximize our time outside.  We will initially meet on Thursday evening for dinner, where Adam will give you an introductory briefing and run through a plan for the coming days.  Over the next 3 days we will aim to be on location as much as possible to shoot the Cornish coast from sunrise through to sunset, returning to the hotel after sunrise for breakfast and a few hours downtime before heading out for the rest of the day.  Due to the late sunset at this time of year, each evening we will find a pub en-route to have dinner before heading to our sunset location.

For this tour our base will be the Glencree House Bed & Breakfast located centrally in Penzance, where you will enjoy single occupancy in one of the recently refurbished, bright spacious double rooms complete with en-suite facilities. 4 Star rated Glencree House is an exceptional B&B boasting a Trip Advisor 5 star review rating as well as regular annual Certificate of Excellence awards. With friendly and welcoming hosts Lynsey and Andrew, we will be looked after extremely well throughout our stay.  For more information please visit the Glencree House website.
