South Pembrokeshire Coast Discovery Tour - March 2019
Britain’s only coastal National Park, Pembrokeshire is brimming with spectacular coastline making it a perfect place for landscape photography. Voted by National Geographic as the world’s second best coastal destination, Pembrokeshire really has it all, from dramatic cliffs boasting soaring rock stacks and incredible natural arches, to pristine golden sandy beaches.
With so much on offer there really is too much to fit into a single trip, so for this new Discovery Tour we will be prioritising the coastal highlights of South Pembrokeshire, including the Green Bridge of Wales, Marloes Sands and Martins Haven. We may even head inland to photograph the stunning Carew Castle if conditions are favourable.
Our tour begins at midday on the first day where, after an initial briefing we will head out to a variety of locations for the rest of the day. Each day thereafter we will aim to be shooting from sunrise through to sunset, returning to the hotel after sunrise for breakfast and a freshen up before heading out for the rest of the day
With a maximum group number of only four participants, our chosen locations will be uncrowded ensuring everybody has access to shoot that special viewpoint. Adam will encourage you to fully explore each location to find your own viewpoints and compositions, while helping you capture beautiful landscape photographs.
Our tours are aimed at everybody, from beginners looking for advice and encouragement through to experienced photographers wishing only to be guided to locations. With such a small group, you can be assured of Adam’s attention, support and feedback throughout each location we visit.
Please note: This tour requires a moderate level of fitness. Although most locations can be acccessed via short walks, several locations require walks of up to 30 minutes, of which some will be uphill. Also some of the clifftop viewpoints require a head for heights!
Throughout this workshop we will be staying at the Lamphey Hall Hotel near the town of Pembroke. Nestled in the village of Lamphey, Lamphey Hall Hotel is a bespoke 3 star hotel that dedicates itself to fine food, rest and relaxation. Each guest will enjoy single occupancy in a double en suite bedroom with all the comforts expected of a modern hotel. For more information on the hotel please visit their website.
