South Hams Coast
Join Adam for a photographic exploration of the stunning South Hams coast in South Devon. Although many areas of Devon's south coast are known for calm seas and tranquil beaches, between Torquay and Plymouth the geology turns incredibly dramatic. Bearing more resemblance to the rugged north coast, this is a landscape of high cliffs, rocky coves and dramatic stacks.
We will be visiting all the photographic highlights the South Hams coast has to offer, from the incredible Start Point, through Bantham and the secluded Westcombe Cove to Wembury Bay near Plymouth.
Our tour begins early afternoon on the first day, where after an initial short briefing we will head out to a variety of locations for the rest of the day. For the following two days we will aim to be shooting from sunrise through to sunset, returning to the hotel after sunrise for breakfast and a few hours downtime before heading out again for the rest of the day.
With a maximum group number of only four participants, our chosen locations will be uncrowded ensuring everybody has access to shoot that special viewpoint. Adam will encourage you to fully explore each location to find your own viewpoints and compositions, while helping you capture beautiful landscape photographs.
Our tours are aimed at everybody, from beginners looking for advice and encouragement through to experienced photographers wishing only to be guided to locations. With such a small group, you can be assured of Adam’s attention, support and feedback throughout each location we visit.
Please note: This tour requires a moderate level of fitness. Although most locations can be acccessed via short walks, there are several coves which can only be reached via footpaths involving uphill walks of between 20-30 minutes.
During this workshop we will be staying at the Hope & Anchor, which is located in the seaside village of Hope Cove. The Hope & Anchor is a contemporary, stylish pub offering a modern bar and restaurant just metres from a beautiful beach.
Each guest will enjoy single occupancy in a newly refurbished, beautiful en suite bedroom with sea views. For more information please visit the Hope & Anchor's website.
