Lake District with Dawn 2 Dusk Photography
‘The Lakes’ are renowned for their stunning beauty. This area is a real wonder of nature – a haven for landscape photography. Impressive peaks rise grandly, reflected in the still waters of the lakes below. Undulating hills are lushly decorated with every shade of green. During October, the colours of autumn add their own charm, warmth and texture to the fabric of the fells.
During this workshop, we will visit some of the Lake Districts most iconic and photogenic viewpoints under the guidance of two of the UK’s best known landscape photographers – Adam Burton and Mark Bauer. With a maximum group size of just 10, plenty of individual attention is guaranteed.
The cost of the workshop includes two nights accommodation at the magnificent Keswick Hotel – known for its fine food and hospitality. Also included in the price is 3 course dinner (Wednesday & Thursday) and a Cumbrian breakfast and pack-lunch (Thursday & Friday). The hotel could hardly be in a better position for exploring The Lakes. Among the locations we will visit during the workshop are Derwent Water, Blea Tarn, Tarn Hows, Langdale Valley and beautiful Buttermere. On still mornings, the lakes offer mirror like reflections of the surrounding landscape and, at this time of year, the landscape promises to be golden and colourful.
By running the workshop during the week, locations should be quieter, allowing photographers to capture the true beauty, atmosphere and tranquility of the area. There will also be a tutorial on using the current version of Adobe Lightroom, and you will have opportunity to have a selection of your images critiqued by Adam and Mark. We hope you can join us…
