In Spring, carpets of Common Bluebells (Hyacinthoides non-scripta) put on a magical display in deciduous woodlands up and down the UK. Often found in deciduous Beech woodlands, like here in Marlborough, the bluebells seem to co-ordinate their appearance with the new spring leaves on the trees providing a vibrant display of blue and green.
