The Flitton Oak
Flitton Barton, Exmoor, Somerset
Ref: BB044689
Gallery: Exmoor
Early morning mist lingers at dawn over the rural landscape of Exmoor National Park. The majestic oak tree is named on the Ordnance Survey map as The Flitton Oak. I have tried unsuccessfully to find out some history of this tree, which has no doubt withstood many hundreds of cold Exmoor winters during its long life span.
