As I stood photographing the coast on the other side of the lighthouse, it occurred to me that the developing pink sky would make a great backdrop for a shot of the lighthouse. So I raced along the coast, and managed to set up this image just before the light faded. Landscape photography is about preparation, planning and being in the right place at the right time. But its also about being flexible and adaptable to the changing conditions, so you can maximise any opportunities that arise.
