I’ve seen these trees many times far away from other parts of the moor, and have had a mental note to photograph them up close for nearly 4 years now. For whatever reason I have never got around to visiting them until today. Luckily I think I timed my visit just right, the first moments of rich morning sunlight, autumn colours and a bonus rainbow all came together to make a very worthwhile trip.
