I absolute love frosty mornings! For me frost does something magical to landscape photographs that nothing can compete with, including snow. Unfortunately it doesnt happen that often here in the Southwest and when it does, it can be very localised. On several occasions I have woken up on a frosty morning and driven to Dartmoor only to find a frostless moor. So, this morning I decided to head down to my local lake where I knew it would be frosty. When I arrived not only did I encounter frost, but a mirror still lake and a beautiful pastel pink sunrise. This image was photographed in the coldness of dawn before the sunrise pinks filled the sky.
