I find photographing New Forest rivers and streams quite a challenge. The slow moving streams have none of the rugged appeal of rocky boulder strewn rivers, and being in woodlands they are often dark and shadowy. So on this late autumn afternoon I was completely taken aback when I turned around to notice warm evening light hitting the trees, their reflections lighting up the mirror-like water in golden tones.
