On this winter trip to Sandymouth in Cornwall, the sky was very grey, and showed little chance of putting on a sunset display.  However, sometimes less is more and this proved to be one of those times.  With the merest hint of pink colour just above the horizon I composed my shot to capture the waves rushing up and down the channels created by the broken ledges.  It was late in the day, and my long shutter speed turned the water movement to mist, perfect for the atmospheric shot I was hoping to capture.  The combination of the overcast sky and its reflection on the water helped to create a dark and moody feel which complimented the rugged subject matter in the composition.
