Grimspound Overlook
Hookney Tor, Dartmoor National Park, Devon
Ref: BB034204
Gallery: Dartmoor
Shortly after arriving at Hookney Tor, a fierce blizzard struck, the snow stinging against my face and completely reducing my visibility. Luckily the granite tors found all over Dartmoor provide excellent cover in difficult weather, and so I pressed myself up behind a sheltered rock face and waited for the blizzard to pass. After the snow moved away the moor was left dusted with white, adding a sense of cold remoteness to this mysterious location.
