The magnificent natural rock arch at Durdle Door is an irresistible lure for landscape photographers. The arch can be photographed equally well from the cliff tops or the water’s edge, preferably later in the day when the rock face basks in the low sunshine. Either side of the Door, pebbly bays sweep in majestic curves at the base of soaring white chalk cliffs. For the very fit photographer a steep walk to the top of Swyre Head can yield far reaching views eastward along the Dorset coast.
