Frozen Wilderness
Belstone Tor, Dartmoor National Park, Devon
Ref: BB034142
Gallery: Dartmoor
Water run-off dribbling down the moorland slopes of Belstone Tor has frozen in the chill of winter, creating large stretches of beautifully patterned ice covering the landscape. In the distance High Willhays, at 621 metres, is not only the highest point in Dartmoor but also the highest point in Great Britain, south of the Brecon Beacons.
