While walking beside the River Plym in Dewerstone Wood I found this tree whose moss covered limbs stretched far out over the water. The sun had dipped below the valley sides meaning that the scene was softly illuminated in even light. Due to the fading light I needed to use a long shutter speed to expose the image correctly; this had the resulting effect of smoothing the river which I found worked well in contrast to the sharp lines of the spidery branches.
