This particular morning at Wharariki Bay was to be my most memorable photographic trip so far.  Bathed in the light of a full moon, the beach had a magical quality to it that I absolutely cannot put into words.  I simply roamed the sandy shores, dumbstruck by the ethereal atmosphere that emanated from every inch of this spectacular location.  As the dawn sky began to develop I set up my camera beside this rockpool and captured 3 or 4 images as the incoming tide crept silently up the sandy beach, through sea arches and deep into caves.  After those few shots, for some reason that I cannot entirely understand I packed up my camera and didn’t take another image.  Instead I wandered along the beach, completely immersed in this very special moment.
