It had been extremely foggy all through this day. I was initially disappointed as I wanted to catch a great sunset from the top of the rocky outcrop at Stanage Edge. But as I drove towards it the fog kept visibility really poor and so gave me little chance of any good light. But I decided to persevere and to my surprise the fog actually made this image. It simplifies the background, accentuates the colour in the sky and gives the shot a sense of mystery. A valuable lesson learned for me there!
